According to The Craig Weiss Group, current barriers to mass usage of VR content in the e-learning space include: Nowadays, no one system is designed to deal with a complex VR content: If we want to get a slightly more complex training integrated with LMS, we need to develop an in-house solution, which becomes company's artifact.

Technical description

To better describe what is under the hood, we need to start with virtual environments in general.

DVE is a multi-user virtual environment, where users can create original content. The idea is not new. However, DVEs are very difficult to build. Especially, it is hard to develop tools allowing teachers to make educational courses. Every learning VR experience requires a carefully designed workflow.

Jedium Platform is our realization of DVE.

The platform was designed to help companies to achieve e-learning goals.

Typical solution for DVE: the user with a required access level can change the environment straight in place while being there. That approach has several obstacles: (a) it works well only for small changes, (b) it is hard to set up a workflow, (c) it has problems with User Experience, User Interface.
